Starting at $3,000

A rectangular top resting on four sculpted legs, balanced on points that taper to the floor. Solid hardwood, hand-assembled in the Hudson Valley, finished in Rubio Monocoat.

The Sparrow Table is the dining-scale companion to the Sparrow Chair and Sparrow Barstool. The leg silhouette — articulated, taut, drawn to a single point at the floor — gives the table its name and its presence in a room. It does not crowd. It holds its line.

The top sits on a slim apron with engineered connections at each leg. The construction is mechanical, not adhesive, which is what allows the Sparrow to ship flat and reseat true.

Available in five solid American hardwoods

  • White oak — open grain, golden cast, deepens to amber with age

  • Cherry — fine grain, pink at the start, darkens to a deep red under light

  • Walnut — chocolate tones, straight grain, softens over time

  • Maple — pale, tight, near-uniform grain that holds its color

  • Ebonized ash — deep open-pore black, the one finish on this table that obscures the species' natural color in favor of texture

Each Sparrow Table is built to order from kiln-dried hardwood, precision-milled, hand-finished, and hand-assembled in our studio at 199 Creamery Road, Stanfordville, NY.

Finish

Rubio Monocoat — a Belgian-made plant-based hard wax oil that bonds molecularly with the wood in a single coat. No film, no plastic sheen, no off-gassing. The surface is protected; the grain stays open to touch and to air.

How to Order

The Sparrow Table is a made-to-order piece, quoted per project. Pricing is determined by size, wood selection, and delivery requirements.

Request a quote with your preferred size, wood, and delivery zip code. We'll respond within two business days with a complete quote covering the table, freight or white glove delivery, and lead time.

Delivery Options

The Sparrow Table flat-packs for freight. The legs detach from the top and reseat with the included hardware. It arrives crated, with assembly instructions and the tools required.

We offer two delivery paths and quote both:

  • Freight delivery — curbside or threshold, crated, customer assembles. Most cost-effective for accessible ground-floor locations.

  • White glove delivery and in-home installation — our delivery partners place the table in your space, complete the assembly, remove all packaging, and confirm the install before they leave. Recommended for upper floors, tight access, and trade installations.

Delivery cost varies by destination, access, and service level. Both options are quoted with the table.

Care

Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Refresh once a year with Rubio Monocoat Universal Maintenance Oil. The finish can be spot-repaired without sanding the full surface — one of the practical advantages of a hard wax oil over a urethane.

Lead Time

Production begins on quote acceptance and deposit. Current lead time: 8–12 weeks from order confirmation. White glove scheduling adds 1–3 weeks beyond completion.

FAQs

Will the wood move?

Yes. Solid hardwood expands and contracts with seasonal humidity. The Sparrow Table is engineered to accommodate this movement; the apron and joinery allow the top to breathe without splitting or warping.

Can I order a custom size?

Yes. Any dimension within 36–48" wide and up to 120" long is available by direct request or through the trade program. Custom orders run 10–14 weeks.

Is this made to order?

Every Sparrow Table is built to order. Wood is selected and grain-matched at the time of production. No two are identical.

Does it ship assembled?

No. The top, apron, and legs ship flat for freight. Standard delivery is curbside; reassembly is straightforward (two people, no tools required). White glove delivery includes full in-home reassembly.
